#Small Rotary Drilling Rig# Wheeled rotary drilling rigs are mainly applicable to drilling projects such as: electric pole drilling, highway guardrail piling, building piling drilling, photovoltaic power generation drilling, tree planting drilling, seedling planting drilling, etc. In general, they are suitable for a variety of engineering projects such as house construction, high-speed rail contact network supports, slope protection piles, urban construction, civil construction, new rural construction, power grid transformation, landscaping, etc.#rotary drilling machinet#

The structural features and types of wheeled rotary drilling rig travel devices are as follows:
① All-wheel drive, no outriggers, with the turntable positioned between the two axles, and the same wheelbase.
Advantages include a simple structure, the elimination of outriggers, ease of operation in confined working environments, and high maneuverability.
Disadvantages include heavy steering axle loads during travel, cumbersome steering operations, or the need for a hydraulic power assist system. Therefore, this type of travel device is only suitable for small rotary drilling rigs with shallow drilling depths.
② Dual-outrigger, full-drive, with the turntable positioned between the two axles, and the same wheelbase.
Advantages include reduced steering axle loads, making steering easier, and outriggers mounted to one side of the fixed axle, ensuring stability during operation. This type of travel device is commonly used on small tire-type hydraulic rotary drilling rigs.
③ Single-axle drive, four outriggers, and a turntable positioned off-center. Its characteristics are: the driving wheel track is wide, while the steering wheel track is narrow, rotating about a vertical axis during steering. The three-point wheel arrangement provides excellent force distribution, eliminating the need for a suspension swing mechanism. The turning radius is small during driving, and the four-legged support provides excellent stability during operation.
Disadvantages include increased driving resistance, resulting in three wheel tracks on soft ground, and poor lateral stability due to the three-legged chassis. Therefore, this type of traveling gear is only suitable for small rotary drilling rigs.
④ Four-leg, all-wheel drive, with the turntable close to the fixed axle (rear axle).
This type of traveling gear features a swinging front axle. Due to the rearward center of gravity, steering resistance is low, making it easier to operate. Furthermore, the use of large tires and low-pressure tires reduces surface requirements. This type of traveling gear is widely used on medium- and large rotary drilling rigs.#rotary drilling machinet#

Compared to crawler-type hydraulic rotary drilling rigs, wheel-type traveling mechanisms primarily require a firm, flat surface to avoid deep wheel tracks, which would increase steering and travel resistance, impacting the rig's safety and stability. Wheeled drilling rigs typically operate at speeds no higher than 40 km/h, with a gradeability of 45% to 55%. To improve the rig's off-road performance, all-wheel drive and a hydraulically suspended, balanced swing axle are preferred. During operation, hydraulic outriggers support the rig, unloading the front and rear axles and improving overall machine stability.#rotary drilling machinet#
