The activity of the mast of a small rotary drilling rig is second only to the large rotation and power head motor in the entire rotation system of the rotary drilling rig, and is an important component of the working system of the rotary drilling rig. The verticality of the rotary excavator pile hole is closely related to the fine adjustment of the mast, and it is also a frequently malfunctioning part:
The rotary drilling rig often suffers from severe oil leakage due to the oil seal of the mast adjustment oil cylinder, which often affects the construction of the drilling rig. After replacing a set of oil seals, the mast was debugged without any problems. When the operator arrived at the construction site in the afternoon to prepare for drilling, he first conducted mast debugging, but suddenly couldn't lower it to the right. At first, the operator thought it was because the upper limit solenoid valve of the mast was stuck, but after inspection, it was not. Later, he checked the relevant solenoid valves on the assembly valve and found no problems. So, what exactly went wrong?

After repeated thinking and inspection, it was finally decided to dismantle, wash, and adjust the two hydraulic locks on the upper and lower parts of the oil cylinder. After installation, the mast will be debugged again to see how it goes. Lay the mast flat and then stand it up, tilt it left and right back and forth repeatedly for multiple adjustments. After everything is normal, let the operator drive the machine to the pile position to start construction.
There should be two reasons for this:
1, One of its hydraulic locks had some issues before the oil seal was replaced. When adjusting the mast to the left, it was not as flexible as when adjusting to the right. Therefore, the pressure of these two hydraulic locks was adjusted to maintain the same pressure.
2, To replace the oil seal, the oil pipe of the oil cylinder needs to be disassembled. This creates an air resistance when it is disassembled and installed in the pipeline. Sometimes, the hydraulic pressure is affected by the air resistance and cannot open the hydraulic lock on the upper part of the cylinder, forming a hydraulic circuit that cannot be lowered.
As a good small rotary excavator operator, it is necessary to accumulate experience in machine maintenance and repair in practical work, predict and detect machine faults early, and ensure timely and effective handling once faults occur.
