I believe everyone will encounter the problem of "stuck rod" when using a rotary drilling rig. How to solve this problem? Now let's analyze it together!
1, What kind of situation does the rotary drilling machine encounter a stuck rod problem
1. No drainage hole: A drill rod without a drainage hole increases the chance of mud and sand getting stuck in the rod.
2. Lower drainage hole: The lower drainage hole is very close to the tray, and at the same time, the sediment is blocked by the upper step of the driving section, so the significance of the lower drainage hole is not significant.
3. Drainage holes at both ends: The key to the drainage holes is the position of the upper end of the driving section, which can timely discharge the mud containing sand.
4. Hole to hole alignment: Even if there are drainage holes, attention should be paid to whether the holes of each drill rod are aligned with each other. If they are misaligned, their effectiveness will be greatly reduced.
2, The reason for the jamming of the rotary drilling rig rod
When the rotary drilling rig is working, when the geological conditions are sand layers or abundant groundwater, it is necessary to improve the quality and density of the mud. The increase in viscosity means an increase in sand filtration. If there is no mud drainage hole at the upper end of the drill rod driving section, the sand containing mud entering the interior of the drill rod will be intercepted by the upper step of the drill rod driving section, and the mud will be slowly discharged. However, the accumulated mud will be blocked by the step, causing the rod to jam.
3, Preventive measures
When the mud density and viscosity are too high, after the drilling bucket is lifted out of the hole, the drill rod should be shaken left and right to allow the mud to be discharged as much as possible.
2. If it is determined that the rod is stuck with sediment, the inside of the drill pipe can be washed with clean water to remove the sediment deposited inside the drill pipe.
If there is no water hole at the drill rod drive section of the rotary drilling rig, an electric suction drill can be used to drill holes.
So we should not underestimate the small drainage hole of the rotary drilling rig drill rod. When purchasing drill rods, we should pay attention. If the purchased drill rod does not have a drainage hole, an electric suction drill can be used to drill holes. During use, we should pay more attention to observation.
