When the rotary drilling rig is stopped for a short time, the automatic idling function can be used to save fuel.
(2) The selection of drilling tools and construction methods should be reasonable. According to the geology and the current condition of the rotary drilling rig, the drilling tools should be selected reasonably. This can not only reduce the load and increase the drilling speed, but also save fuel and play a certain protective role for components such as the drill rod. Using high-quality carbide cutting bits or roller cone bits for drilling into rock can not only reduce drill bit wear and replacement frequency, but also improve drilling speed and fuel efficiency. Drivers should maintain the air filter as follows: Check and clean the air filter element every 100 hours, and replace it every 500 hours. During maintenance, do not clean the filter element by impact or vibration; use compressed air, pressurized water, or detergent instead. Ensure the cleaned filter element is completely dry before installing it into the filter housing.
(2) Regular Fuel System Maintenance
If the fuel filtration is ineffective, impurities in the diesel fuel can enter the fuel injection pump, accelerating the wear of precision components, leading to decreased engine power and increased fuel consumption. If moisture or gum in the fuel enters the cylinder, it will cause poor combustion of the combustible mixture, resulting in decreased engine power and increased fuel consumption. Therefore, it is essential to regularly replace the coarse and fine fuel filters and frequently check the fuel pump and injectors for internal leaks or damage.
