The mast's x-axis and Y-axis offsets can be observed in real time on the mast's working screen. Operating the rotary drilling rig's electric handle raises the mast from the transport position to the working position. During this process, the rotary drilling rig's controller collects signals from the electric handle and tilt sensor, performs mathematical calculations, and outputs signals to drive the proportional valve of the hydraulic cylinder to achieve closed-loop mast erection control. This ensures smooth and synchronous mast erection. Simultaneously, limit switch signals are collected to protect the mast from tilting during erection. Before drilling operations, the mast needs to be positioned and set.
Generally, straight hole drilling is performed, so mast sag adjustment is required. Sag adjustment can be done manually or automatically. Automatic sag adjustment can be performed using the automatic sag adjustment button on the display when the mast is within ±5° of its relative zero position; when the mast exceeds ±5°, manual sag adjustment can only be performed using the jog button on the display or the electric handle on the left control box. During the vertical adjustment process, the operator can monitor the mast's position in real time through the mast working interface on the monitor, ensuring the mast reaches the set position for the drilling operation. Sometimes, angled hole drilling is also required during construction. When drilling in clear water, the operator can directly access the main working interface through the monitor buttons and then begin drilling. Before drilling, the drill bit is placed on the ground, and the zeroing operation is performed using the zeroing button on the monitor to record the original position of the drill bit. At this time, the monitor displays the current drilling position as a bar graph and numbers. The operator can monitor the actual working position of the drill hole, the position of each advance, and the hole depth through the monitor, thus controlling the drilling operation. During operation, the operator can monitor the working status of the hydraulic system in real time through the displays of three virtual instruments on the main interface-power head pressure, pressurization pressure, and main winding pressure. The drill bit rotates to open the borehole, using its own weight and pressure as drilling power. A short bar indicates the current drilling depth, while a long bar dynamically displays the drill bit's position. The numerical depth indicator shows the total depth of the borehole. Once the drill bucket is filled with drill cuttings, it is lifted to the surface. The machine is then rotated to the waste disposal cart position using the rotary control handle. Afterward, the machine automatically returns to the drilling position via the automatic return button on the display, or it can be manually returned by operating the rotary control handle. This operating status can be monitored via the return indicator on the main interface.
