1. Personnel operating rotary drilling rigs, pile drivers, long spiral drilling rigs, crawler pile drivers, and small rotary drilling rigs must strictly adhere to safety operating procedures and rigorously implement the overall project plan and safety management measures.#parts of a drilling rig and their functions#
2. A work vessel or sturdy frame with a displacement at least four times the weight of the pile driver must be selected. The anchorage must be secure. Operations must cease if the tilt of the pile driver or frame exceeds 3°. Operations are prohibited in heavy rain, dense fog, or severe weather with winds exceeding level six. Effective wind avoidance measures must be taken during hurricane warnings.
3. Piling vessels carrying fuel must have sun and rain protection measures. Firefighting equipment must be provided, and strict inspection and approval procedures must be followed.
4. Power cords and switch boxes must be correctly and reliably wired, with adequate insulation. Power protectors must be sensitive and functional.
5. The safe operating area for pile drivers must be demarcated, and warning signs must be set up as required after obtaining approval and notification from the port authority. 6. Before piling, check the piling machine's brakes, wire ropes for damage and insufficient lubrication, and ensure the pile hammer hook, lifting ring, and safety devices are free from deformation or damage. The verticality of the pile pipe must meet requirements.
7. The piling vessel should load piles according to the piling sequence. When lifting piles from the barge, the lifting should be symmetrical to prevent the vessel from tilting to one side, which could cause pile slippage and capsizing.
8. When pausing operations, the pile hammer of the rotary drilling rig/piling machine/long spiral drilling rig/tracked piling rig/small rotary drilling rig should be placed on the deck. It must not be suspended in the air, and inspection and repair work must not be carried out with the hammer head suspended above the ground.#parts of a drilling rig and their functions#
9. When moving the vessel, take strict precautions to prevent the piling frame and guy ropes from colliding with high-voltage and low-voltage power lines. Remove all scaffolding from the piling frame to prevent slippage and injury. 10. In case of malfunction during operation, the machine should be stopped, the hammer lowered, the cause investigated, and the malfunction rectified before resuming work.
11. Personnel performing pile driving operations on water should wear life jackets, and a rescue boat with divers on duty should be available for monitoring. If necessary, a traffic control and supervision vessel should also be provided to prevent vessels from entering the pile driving area.
12. When driving precast concrete piles or steel sheet piles, it is forbidden to use a pile frame for oblique pulling or lifting; strict precautions must be taken to prevent the pile frame from tipping over.
13. After operation, the hammer head should be lowered to the deck, all mechanisms engaged, and the control stick pulled to the zero position.
14. Piles driven below the waterline or piles submerged by tides should be marked with surface micro-marks to prevent breakage of the pile or damage to the hull. 15. Personnel engaged in piling work on the ship, as well as shipyard workers, are prohibited from lingering or resting at the mooring bollards, rope crossings, or cable loops on the ship's deck to avoid injury from the cables.
16. When personnel are boarding or alighting from the piling vessel in a sampan, they must wait until the sampan is completely stopped and securely fastened before boarding or alighting in sequence. The sampan must not be overloaded or overcrowded. Transportation should be suspended in case of severe winds or waves. If the height difference between the sampan and the personnel boarding or alighting exceeds 1 meter, a wooden ladder must be used; jumping is strictly prohibited.
17. Piling operations on water are affected by various factors such as wind, waves, tides, and geological currents. Various problems may arise during the piling process, which must be taken seriously, and effective measures must be taken to ensure safe operation.#parts of a drilling rig and their functions#
