* Before drilling, the pile position should be accurately located, and a positioning gantry pile should be set up outside the pile position.
* The pile position axis is determined by establishing a cross control network and benchmark points on the ground. When the drilling rig is positioned, ensure that the verticality deviation is no greater than 1%. The rig crawls to the pile position, and the machine's computer controls the horizontal and vertical adjustments of the drilling mast and body. During drilling, continuous barrel drilling is used for soil removal.
* A total station is used to accurately lay out the position of each pile point, ensuring that the error is within the specified requirements.
For rotary drilling and grouting piles using casing wall construction, this project employed the 3m long casing wall scheme. However, during the rotary drilling and grouting of test piles, several instances of borehole wall collapse occurred. Therefore, relevant construction personnel were promptly organized to study how to prevent and control this problem. After multi-faceted analysis and on-site observation, the reasons for the repeated borehole wall collapses during the test piles were identified as follows: inadequate drainage and uncontrolled pumping speed. Because the test piles were located on the southeast side of the construction site, near the seawall, the pile driving was affected by the ebb and flow of the tides, causing instability in the casing wall and leading to collapses. Based on geological data and after discussion at a joint meeting of all participating parties, a new casing wall installation scheme was adopted: one with a length of 6m and the other with a length of 3m. The 6m casing was used for coastal pile locations with higher groundwater levels and poorer geological foundations, while the 3m casing was used for pile locations with slightly better geological foundations. After modifications, a 6m long casing was used for construction. Careful control was exercised over the quality of the slurry used for wall protection and the pumping speed. Based on historical tidal data for Fangchenggang, the pile driving schedule was improved: continuous construction during low tide, preparation for low tide, and rest for the construction team during high tide. Following this improvement, subsequent rotary drilling pile construction progressed smoothly, and no further borehole collapses occurred.#drilling hole machine#

Layout, Positioning, and Measurement Control
Before construction begins, a measurement control network is established on-site based on the axis and pile location layout. Then, the center points of each pile location are measured and laid out according to the control network.
