#Rotary Drilling Rig# Daily maintenance is essential. Failure to do so will negatively impact performance, cause malfunctions, and shorten the lifespan of your rotary drilling rig. Today, SDLQ editors share helpful tips on how to change the gear oil in a rotary drilling rig.#drilling rig manufacturers#
Gear oil replacement procedures for small rotary drilling rigs: Rotary drilling rigs consume a significant amount of diesel fuel, partly due to the need to replace hydraulic oil, engine oil, gear oil, and other lubricating oils during maintenance. For rotary drilling rig owners and operators, replacing hydraulic and lubricating oil is particularly crucial, and they pay extra attention to every maintenance step. However, many people overlook gear oil replacement. The gear oil replacement steps for a rotary drilling rig are as follows: 1. After running for approximately 5 minutes, flush the reducer's oil drain port, then stop the rig and shut off the engine. 2. Place an oil container at the drain port to prevent contamination. Then, use an Allen wrench to remove the drain port, filler port, and inspection port. 3. Drain the old gear oil and tighten the drain port securely. 4. Add new gear oil from the oil filling port. After the gear oil flows out from the observation oil port, tighten the observation oil port and the oil filling port.#drilling rig manufacturers#
