Because rotary drilling rigs are low-noise, vibration-free, and environmentally friendly, their drilling noise level is below 65 decibels. During the hole-forming process, the excavated soil remains in its original state and is directly loaded and unloaded onto dump trucks via the drill bucket, eliminating mud discharge. If the excavated soil is too water-rich or fluidized, an on-site fluidized soil water reduction and solidification treatment unit can be installed to reduce the water content and solidify the excavated fluidized soil, turning it into dry soil for transportation via dump trucks, thus meeting urban environmental protection requirements.

For larger drilling diameters, the price of a single rig, including accessories, can reach tens of millions of yuan. For the average construction company, especially the vast majority of geological teams involved in pile foundation construction, a one-time investment of several million or even tens of millions of yuan is unaffordable for those with limited financial resources. High operating costs are also a major factor hindering construction companies from purchasing them. According to manufacturers and actual user experience, a rotary drilling rig has a normal operating lifespan of 6,300 hours at full load. After this lifespan, several components require replacement or repair, particularly the winch system, hydraulic main pump, power head, and drill rod. These components are expensive and require long replacement times. This significantly increases the operating costs of rotary drilling rigs, and consequently, the cost of pile foundation construction. Currently, due to fierce competition in the pile foundation market and the lack of standardized practices, many pile foundation projects are subcontracted through multiple layers before reaching construction companies. Project prices are relatively low, leaving little profit margin. For example, using rotary drilling rigs, while efficient and high-quality, results in very low profits or even losses. This is a major reason why many construction companies avoid purchasing rotary drilling rigs and even deliberately leave them unused, continuing to use traditional, relatively backward methods.
