This will be the largest-scale application of rotary drilling rigs in railway construction since the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.

In southern China, especially in the developed southeastern coastal areas, due to the softer strata, pile foundations are generally larger and deeper, making it difficult for rotary drilling rigs to drill holes. Currently, forward and reverse circulation drilling rigs are still the primary method. In fact, rotary drilling rigs can also be used in conjunction with other equipment in this area. One method involves combining a rotary drilling rig with a casing drilling rig. Another method utilizes a vibratory pile hammer, a widely used method in my country, to sink and extract steel casings in soft soil. This has been proven feasible in projects such as the Zhejiang Datang Wushashan Power Plant, the Ningbo Jinhua Lanxi Power Plant, and the Fujian Ningde Power Plant.
Rotary drilling rigs have only been widely used in my country in recent years. Due to the lack of corresponding product standards, the lack of established rotary drilling rig construction specifications, systematic research on construction methods, and a lack of technical training, in-depth research on basic theory is needed. Rotary drilling rigs are closely integrated with civil engineering and construction techniques. Rotary drilling rig designers should be familiar with pile foundation construction, and engineers and technicians using rotary drilling rigs should understand their operating principles and performance to facilitate the further development of rotary drilling rigs and their construction methods.#drilling rig system#
