What To Do If A Rotary Drilling Rig Experiences Slow Drilling Speed Or Stops Drilling?

Some customers have reported that when using rotary drilling rigs, the drilling speed is very slow, sometimes even stopping altogether. They've asked us, the rotary drilling rig manufacturer, if there's a problem with the equipment. While equipment malfunction cannot be ruled out, incorrect operation methods could also be the cause. This article will share some information about why small rotary drilling rigs might not advance or drill very slowly due to incorrect operation methods.#drill screw#

Crawler Rotary Drilling Rig

Based on feedback from our clients to our technical staff, they reported very slow drilling speeds in hard plastic clay layers using rotary drilling rigs, typically taking 8-10 hours, accounting for 60%-70% of single-pile drilling time.#drill screw#

After a detailed investigation, our technical staff determined that the client may have made incorrect drill bit selections, such as improper installation angle of the alloy cutting tools, shallow cutting depth, insufficient drill bit counterweight, or the drill bit becoming caked with clay. Therefore, we need to replace or modify our rotary drilling rig bits, rearrange the cutting tool angle, shape, and orientation, increase counterweight, improve slag removal, reduce mud density, or switch to a reverse circulation drilling method.#drill screw#
