Reasons for the slowdown in rotary drilling rigs

1. Hydraulic Oil Sediment: During 2000 hours of use, the hydraulic oil in a rotary drilling rig will inevitably introduce fine air bubbles during flow. This leads to oil oxidation, producing acidic substances that change the oil's color, making it red or black, and increasing its corrosiveness to metals. The resulting sludge and sediment can clog hydraulic oil filters, radiators, and small valve gaps in the distributor.#crawler drill machine#
2. Impact of Acidic Substances on the Rotary Drilling Rig System: Due to temperature differences between day and night and regional climate variations, hot air in the hydraulic oil tank cools and condenses into water droplets. Therefore, the hydraulic oil inevitably comes into contact with moisture. Moisture, air, and acidic substances produced by oxidation all contribute to rust and corrosion of metals, affecting the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
3. Air Bubbles in Hydraulic Oil: Air bubbles mixed in with the hydraulic oil circulate with it, reducing system pressure, worsening lubrication, causing abnormal noise, blackening of the hydraulic piston rod, and slowing down or disrupting the machine's movement-a phenomenon commonly referred to as "mechanical cerebral thrombosis."#crawler drill machine#
4. Hydraulic oil overheating can also affect the operating speed of rotary drilling rigs: When sediment clogs the hydraulic oil cooler, the hydraulic oil overheats, reaching temperatures above 70 degrees Celsius. At such high temperatures, the hydraulic oil loses its anti-wear and lubricating properties. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures increases mechanical wear and vibration. Furthermore, air bubbles increase the surface area of the oil in contact with air, accelerating oil oxidation. Since the hydraulic oil cooler is located outside the engine radiator, its temperature is also increased by the engine fan's suction, leading to abnormal engine cooling and overheating. This significantly slows down the rig. High hydraulic oil temperatures can also cause oil pipe bursts, oil seal ruptures, and piston rod blackening, resulting in serious economic losses for the rig owner.#crawler drill machine#
